In the past 4 years with this family I have done 3, yes 3 newborn sessions for them! They are now complete as a family of 7 and it was such a joy to have sweet Natalie and her parents in the studio last week. I love big families :)
Natalie was a tiny little peanut around 6.5 lbs and LOVED to snuggle. If she got a little fussy I would just bring her to my chest and she would pass right out again...I was in heaven! She had a head full of black hair and just the cutest little cheeks.
I am so looking forward to my spring session with the WHOLE family! Now that will be a challange I am willing to accept :)
Oh my goodness I have nothing but LOVE for this session...this sweet baby girl was a rockstar in the studio and had no problem getting into "model mode" for me. I was able to get so many great shots and it has to be one of my all time favorite sessions :) I am just going to leave you with a TON of images in the post because honestly, that's what your here for right?!
My heart is so full! I have been blessed with a lot of newborns lately and it has been just what I needed since my "baby" just turned two this last week "tear." This little girl stole my heart! I was so honored to do this session for an amazing couple. I had done their engagement session and wedding and now got to snuggle with their sweet little girl for a couple hours in the studio.
She had the most amazing rolls and cheeks and I couldn't help myself from oooohhhing and ahhhing over her the whole time.
She was wide awake and super content most of the session so it was really fun to get some awake shots.
When she finally gave in and went to sleep she gave me poses like this one....she had the most beautiful skin too!
look at those rolls!
We ended in the basket and she was back awake but happy just looking around :)
look at her adorable piggies! I just LOVE baby toes.
She had so much personality already and I love that I captured this shot ;)
I have had the great priviledge to photograph some wonderful milestones in this family's life over the past few years. I have really enjoyed watching this family grow and Harper is number 4 for them! It was just Harper and her mom in the studio and it was so relaxing and nice to snuggle this adorable little girl and catch up with Colette :) I love that I have become friends with so many clients and makes my job extra fun.
She LOVED being wrapped up tight and looked so adorable in a bonnet.
My good friend from high school's mom had just begun quilting for fun so I reached out to her and asked if she could make me a quilt. She got to work right away and created this BEAUTIFUL colorful quilt for me and I was so excited to incorporate it into this session. Harper's coloring was perfect for all the bright colors :)
This had to be my favorite image from the session.
I love tiny details. I am always amazed at how small a newborns fingernails are.
I just love newborn sessions, and even more so now that I have a special space in which to do them. For the past few years I have been driving around with a car full of props and equipment to my clients homes to do the session. I feel so excited to be able to utilize all my props and space and not be limited to just what I bring with me. My space is warm and soothing for little ones and their parents and I am really starting to feel at home when doing sessions in my studio.
Little miss Amelia, what a beautiful little girl! She was much older than my other newborn clients, 8 weeks old as opposed to the 5-10 day old babies, so we were planning on a lot of wrapped poses and awake shots. She looked so beautiful in purple!
She was wide awake and super happy at the beginning of the session which was a nice change and I got some great shots in the basket.
We then moved to the beanbag and after another bottle she was nice and sleepy and let me do a buch of poses I didn't think I could...
